Job Summary
The Retail Sales Associate will help customers make lasting memories by capturing their visit at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The ideal candidate will enjoy being around people, has experience in the hospitality or events industry or other customer-facing roles. An interest in photography or an aptitude for digital image technology is ideal as you'll be setting up and breaking down photo and computer equipment. Photo Sales and Gear Shop sales duties includes, setting up equipment, testing photo green screen, troubleshooting and issues that arise, professionally engage with guests and vendors. The goal is to provide outstanding customer service and to increase the company’s growth and revenue through photo and retail sales.
Job Responsibilities
- Essential Job Duties
- Setup and load out photo and computer equipment, including lighting and props.
- Help guests capture high quality photo and video content.
- Set the example of identifying and responding to customers’ needs.
- Set a high standard of excellence to create a memorable and engaging visitor experience.
- Exceed client expectations by delivering high quality customer service.
- Manage point-of-sale process.
- Maintain effective cash handling protocols and other gift store and photo operational processes.
- Assist in the box office or parking departments on high demand days.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Consistently deliver the best in customer service. Model and be accountable ensuring that customers are always put first by living the CRVA Service Philosophy to deliver memorable customer experiences.
- Champion CRVA’s mission, vision and core values and comply with organizations policies and procedures.
Scope of Responsibility
- This job will have periodic access to confidential data including financial statements, company records and/or minutes, customer quotes, product costs, and company plans, designs, and/or programs.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience
- Proven working experience in photo sales along with basic understanding of photo principles and customer service practices.
- High School diploma required.
Physical Demands
- The employee must lift and /or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Requires frequent standing.
- Requires stooping and kneeling as well as reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise.
- May be required to climb ladder or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Travel Required
- This job has limited travel requirements. Valid driver’s license required.
