This position serves a dual role within the athletics department. The individual will function as the Wide Receivers Coach for the football program while also serving as the Head Coach for the Women’s Flag Football program.
The position requires commitment to competitive excellence, student-athlete development, and strict adherence to NCAA Division II, conference, and institutional policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wide Receivers Coach (Football)
- Coach and develop wide receivers, including skill instruction, film breakdown, and game preparation
- Assist in offensive game planning and implementation
- Recruit prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA Division II rules
- Monitor academic progress and support retention of student-athletes
- Assist with practice planning, game day operations, and scouting reports
- Maintain compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations
- Collaborate with strength and conditioning staff on player development
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach
Women’s Flag Football Coach
- Serve as the head coach and primary administrator for the women’s flag football program
- Plan, organize, and conduct all practices and competitions
- Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes
- Develop and manage program budget in coordination with athletics administration
- Schedule competitions and coordinate travel logistics
- Supervise assistant coaches and support staff (as applicable)
- Promote academic success, character development, and student-athlete well-being
- Ensure full compliance with NCAA Division II, conference, and institutional policies
- Lead community engagement and program promotion efforts
- Build and grow the program in alignment with departmental strategic goals
- Assist in transportation of athletes to/from athletic events, which may include driving a full-sized passenger can or other large capacity vehicles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Previous collegiate coaching experience
- Strong knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
- Proven recruiting ability and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage dual responsibilities effectively
- Physical Requirements
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Working in all weather conditions, exposure to high noise levels, standing throughout the day, the ability to use a loud voice at practices and events and physical involvement in all practices and workouts with players.

- Must have a State of Texas or Arkansas class "C" vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

- Ability to travel and work beyond normal office hours, including holidays and weekends.
- This position may be required to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, in accordance with System policy and is further required to complete FERPA and HIPAA training as a condition of employment, within a reasonable timeframe after employment and on an as-needed basis thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Experience coaching at the NCAA Division II level.
- Wide receivers and/or flag football experience
- Experience within the National Collegiate Athletic Association structure.
- Experience managing budgets and supervising staff.
