CF Montréal is a professional soccer club based in Montreal, Quebec, founded in December 1992 as L'Impact de Montréal and rebranded in January 2020. The club joined Major League Soccer in 2012 and competes domestically and internationally, including a CONCACAF Champions League final appearance in 2015. It has won the Canadian Championship five times since 2008.
Beyond its first team, CF Montréal operates a comprehensive player-development infrastructure. The club established its academy in 2010 to cultivate talent from grassroots to professional levels, currently working with close to 80 academy players while reaching hundreds more through partner clubs and regional programmes. A distinctive feature is its sport-study programme, integrated within the academy and available to players as young as 12 - claimed as the first and only offering of its kind among professional clubs in North America.
The club plays home matches at Stade Saputo, a soccer-specific stadium with a capacity of 19,619, and occasionally uses Montreal Olympic Stadium. CF Montréal's operations span professional competition, youth education, facility management, and community soccer engagement across Montreal and the broader region.
